This blog post is absolutely sublime. How I wish some of those items were still available! I really want the harvest gold jumpsuit, oh yes I do. There's really nothing much more to say, except to add a fabulous circa 1977 musical equivalent of those catalog images:
The city is a prison, you never escape
You're forever trapped in the alleys
Look into the shadows and you'll see the shape... Of me
I am behind you, I'll always find you, I am the tiger
People who fear me never go near me, I am the tiger
And if I meet you, what if I eat you, I am the tiger
I am behind you, I'll always find you, I am the tiger
Tiger, tiger, tiger!

You know ABBA was all about the women.. I mean, who WERE the men anyway?
They were pretty fab all things considered.
I actually thought that one guys swimsuit was kinda cool. It would be a hit on a go-go dancer at Portland's Silverado.
I'm cringing right now.
Um, the men were just the musical geniuses who wrote all the songs. The women were cute and all, but ABBA was all about the men.
I remember that JC Penney catalog! I was a sophomore in high school. I was way into my ripped up jeans and threadbare t-shirt phase, but I think my dad had one of those plaid polyester sport jackets.
ugh. hideous. i am not getting the whole '70s revival thing. i don't think there was an uglier time in our hx.
Wow, these remind me of the Montgomery Ward ad in my YouTube season opener. Thanks for introducing me to this sublime blog.
