Remind Me: Why Are These 15 Pounds So Stubborn?

Ok, some have their "This-Is-Not-A-Cat-Blog" Blogs.
Others have their "This-Is-Not-A-Baby-Blog" Blogs.

This is my "This-Is-Not-A-Food-Blog" Blog.

This is not a food blog.

But this is a yummy Apple Upside-Down Cake. Just because it was Monday night.

Did I need any another reason?

That's what I'm talking about! Apple-based desserts are da bomb(e).

Funny, I thought it was a weird version of a tarte tatin. =P

All those other skills, your charm and you can cook! Remind me again why you're single? Oh, yes, you still haven't become a notary public.

I know everybody loves upside down cakes but to me they look like semi intelligent life forms discovered in the Arcturus system 300 years hence.

damn - does that ever look like a big piece of heaven...

Your apple confection looks delicious, my dear. Why could'nt the apple tatin I baked over the weekend have as much visual appeal?

stash - I've actually never tried a tatin, since I'm such a sucker for CAKE.

LdB - Thanks again. The secret to my singlehood is well-kept, probably for good reason. Ha!

m00nchild - They're really not that scary. Arcturus? Is that a real system or some scifi thing I'm ignorant of?

trevor - speaking of big pieces of heaven....

smj - Visual appeal is overrated, but I'm anal that way when it comes to food presentation. The proof is in the taste (or in the 'tatin' you might say), and I'm sure yours tasted more than divine. When are we having that bloggers' potluck?

Kusala, you're a darling. I know I'm not the only one who wipes plate rims and garnishes weeknight dinners.

Ooh, blogger's potluck! Let's do a virtual one. I'll get back to you on this...

And thank you, the tatin was delicious if not unsightly...I served it with almond cinnamon wafers, a bit of butter pecan ice cream and French roast coffee.
