Die ersten Pflaumen blühen bereits

One of my favorite annual simple pleasures at my job: two large old plum trees in front of the building. Although spring in California isn't nearly as sweet and welcome as in colder locales, these first blooms are always a delicate, sublime reminder that winter is yet again a dark memory.
